Engineering Manager, Web & Mobile

Job Summary

Leading a small, distributed team, the full-time Engineering Manager, Web & Mobile will oversee the development and delivery of consumer-facing web and mobile applications, combining hands-on coding with technical leadership in a hybrid or remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery and release readiness for web and mobile applications, ensuring high-quality outcomes
• Manage and mentor a team of application engineers, including vendor partners, while contributing hands-on code and performing code reviews
• Drive technical direction for client-side architecture, performance, and accessibility standards in collaboration with cross-functional teams

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in building consumer-facing web and mobile applications, with a background in technical leadership
• Strong understanding of frontend and mobile application architecture, performance optimization, and release discipline
• Experience managing distributed teams and external vendors across multiple time zones
• Master's or bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Familiarity with GraphQL-based application architectures and client-side data consumption patterns
