Engineering Platforms Director

Job Summary

To support a growing engineering organization, the full-time remote Engineering Platforms Director will define and lead the Engineering Platforms structure, drive the transition to a platform engineering model, and build the data and AI infrastructure layer while collaborating with brand engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead the Engineering Platforms organization structure and establish ownership across defined pillars
• Drive the platform shift from centralized DevOps to a platform engineering model, enabling internal teams to own their services
• Build a canonical data strategy and AI infrastructure layer to support the product AI roadmap across multiple products

Required qualifications

• Proven experience in collaboratively building and scaling platforms for development teams
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, delivery patterns, and AI/ML concepts
• Experience leading and growing engineering teams, including employees and contractors
• Ability to connect platform work to human value and business outcomes effectively
• Clear communication skills and experience working with a distributed workforce
