Engineering Team Lead

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Engineering Team Lead to manage a distributed group of software engineers in North America.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a remote team in the development of a complex video and robotics system
• Design, develop, and maintain software for the platform using various programming languages
• Provide leadership through coaching, mentoring, and ensuring high standards of software quality

Required Qualifications

• Experience in coaching and leading software engineers over several years
• Demonstrated experience or strong interest in distributed computing, robotics, AI/ML, or complex systems
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, and Rust (or willingness to learn Rust)
• Ability to balance engineering practices with business needs
• Awareness of challenges in a small, fast-paced startup environment
