Engineering Team Lead

Job Summary

Leading a cross-functional product team, the full-time Engineering Team Lead will focus on frontend development using React and TypeScript while also contributing to backend services in Java and Node.js, mentoring engineers, and driving architectural decisions in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead frontend development and contribute to backend services to deliver cohesive, end-to-end features
• Translate product requirements into technical tasks, ensuring clarity and ownership within the team
• Mentor engineers at various skill levels and manage the team's technical debt and production reliability

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong focus on frontend development using React and TypeScript
• Proven experience leading an engineering team in an agile environment
• Deep fluency in JavaScript, CSS/SASS, HTML, and the DOM, with a track record of building high-quality UIs
• Solid backend proficiency in Node.js and Java Spring Boot, including API design and integration
• Experience with microservices architecture and cloud platforms, including CI/CD pipelines and production monitoring
