Engineering Team Lead, AI Platform

Job Summary

Leading the AI Platform team, the full-time Engineering Team Lead will manage the development of foundational AI application architecture, oversee platform engineers, and establish integration strategies, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Build and lead a team of platform engineers, setting technical direction and conducting code reviews
• Define and establish the application-layer foundation for AI, including core integration patterns and agent architecture
• Own the integration architecture strategy, making foundational decisions on AI services and third-party system connections

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership role
• Hands-on experience building production AI systems and familiarity with LLM APIs and agent frameworks
• Strong background in integration architecture and experience designing reliable connectors to third-party services
• Experience building data pipelines for AI systems, including knowledge of RAG, embeddings, and vector search patterns
• Proven ability to take ownership and communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
