Engineering Team Leader

Job Summary

To lead a small product team of engineers, the full-time Engineering Team Leader will manage team dynamics, participate in product development, and oversee hiring and onboarding processes, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Managing a product team of 3-5 engineers and participating in product development
• Overseeing hiring and onboarding processes for new engineers while providing continuous feedback and coaching
• Redesigning engineering workflows and implementing agentic workflows to enhance productivity and outcomes

Required qualifications

• Experience managing an engineering team of at least 2 people
• Extensive background in Backend development (Elixir/Phoenix, Ruby, or functional programming)
• Proven track record of shipping secure, reliable, and scalable production systems
• Practical experience with designing or adopting automation workflows
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and best practices
