Engineering Team Leader

Job Summary

To lead a small product team of engineers, the full-time Engineering Team Leader will manage team dynamics, participate in product development, and oversee hiring and onboarding processes while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Managing a small product team of 3-5 engineers and participating actively in product development
• Overseeing hiring and onboarding processes for team members while providing continuous feedback and coaching
• Redesigning engineering workflows with a focus on automation and agentic processes to enhance team efficiency

Required qualifications

• Experience managing an engineering team of at least 2 people
• Extensive knowledge of Backend technologies (Elixir/Phoenix, Ruby, or functional programming)
• Strong engineering fundamentals with a proven track record in shipping secure, reliable, and scalable production systems
• Practical experience in designing or adopting automation workflows and improving them through iteration
• Demonstrated capabilities in automation and AI fluency
