Engineering Team Leader

Job Summary

As the first engineering leadership role, the full-time Head of Engineering will build a high-performing engineering organization, define technical roadmaps, and provide hands-on technical leadership in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Own hiring processes, set ambitious targets, and grow the engineering team into a high-performing organization
• Manage the technical roadmap, prioritizing projects and making build-vs-buy decisions as the company scales
• Lead by example in technical standards, making foundational architecture decisions and resolving complex technical challenges

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience building and scaling an engineering team with a focus on hiring exceptional talent
• Demonstrated expertise in shipping AI systems in production environments
• Track record of operating at a high bar in organizations recognized for exceptional engineering
• Ability to lead as a player-coach while maintaining technical depth for architectural decisions
• Experience shipping production systems using messy, real-world data
