Enterprise Architect

Job Summary

Leading the technical architecture strategy for the VAASM program, the full-time remote Enterprise Architect will establish integration patterns, oversee data fabric implementation, and ensure compliance with federal security frameworks while collaborating with various technical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain the authoritative technical architecture baseline for the VAASM program
• Lead architecture design sessions to establish API contracts, data models, and integration patterns
• Coordinate with VA OIT Enterprise Architecture team to ensure alignment with VA standards and technology roadmap

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise IT architecture, with at least 5 years supporting large federal government programs
• Demonstrated expertise in designing enterprise integration architectures with multiple COTS platforms and cloud environments
• Deep knowledge of API design, microservices architecture, and data fabric concepts
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related technical field required; Master's preferred
• TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification preferred
