Entry Level Data Engineer
Job Summary
Joining a dynamic team, the entry-level Data Engineer will work remotely to develop high-volume data processing jobs and support data scientists and analysts in utilizing data effectively.
Key responsibilities
- Develop high volume data processing jobs across platforms like Redshift, Athena, Iceberg, Spark, and Airflow
- Debug queries, monitor jobs, identify performance bottlenecks, and enhance system efficiency
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and product managers to support data initiatives
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- 1+ year of professional experience in data engineering
- Knowledge of SQL and databases (MySQL / Redshift / Athena), and data modeling
- Experience with workflow orchestrators such as Dagster, Airflow, or Prefect
- Proficiency in Python programming
