Entry-Level Data Warehouse Engineer

Job Summary

To support the data team, the entry-level Data Warehouse Software Engineer I will assist in building and maintaining core data warehouse solutions on Google Cloud Platform, collaborating with analysts and stakeholders to translate reporting requests into clean data models and Looker dashboards, with the opportunity to work remotely or in a hybrid capacity from select US offices.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in building and maintaining data models and tables in Google BigQuery while writing foundational SQL transformation logic
• Collaborate with analysts and business stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into structured tables and views
• Build and optimize Looker dashboards and reports to ensure easy access to actionable data for business users

Required qualifications

• Strong command of SQL, including joins, aggregations, and familiarity with window functions
• Solid understanding of relational databases, ETL/ELT concepts, and data warehousing structures
• Hands-on experience or academic exposure to building dashboards in Looker or similar BI tools
• Familiarity with Python for basic scripting and comfort using Git for version control
• A proactive mindset with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to data quality
