Job Summary
Supporting the development of advanced nuclear reactor technology, the Entry Level PRA Engineer will work remotely on a contract basis, focusing on probabilistic risk assessments, severe accident analysis, and safety evaluations while collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Key responsibilities
- Support internal and external Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) activities and collaborate on system reliability and safety requirements
- Develop and maintain PRA models, including event trees and fault trees, using CAFTA
- Prepare engineering calculations and technical documentation, and present findings to project teams and regulatory organizations
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nuclear, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline
- One or more years of Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) experience
- Understanding of PRA principles and familiarity with ASME/ANS PRA standards
- Knowledge of risk-informed, performance-based regulatory approaches
- Experience with PRA software such as CAFTA, FRANX, SAPHIRE, or RiskSpectrum
