Entry Level PRA Engineer

Job Summary

Supporting the development of advanced nuclear reactor technology, the Entry Level PRA Engineer will work remotely on a contract basis, focusing on probabilistic risk assessments, severe accident analysis, and safety evaluations while collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Support internal and external Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) activities and collaborate on system reliability and safety requirements
• Develop and maintain PRA models, including event trees and fault trees, using CAFTA
• Prepare engineering calculations and technical documentation, and present findings to project teams and regulatory organizations

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nuclear, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline
• One or more years of Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) experience
• Understanding of PRA principles and familiarity with ASME/ANS PRA standards
• Knowledge of risk-informed, performance-based regulatory approaches
• Experience with PRA software such as CAFTA, FRANX, SAPHIRE, or RiskSpectrum
