Entry-Level SOC Analyst

Job Summary

A company is looking for a SOC Analyst I to serve as the first line of defense against cyber adversaries through real-time monitoring and analysis of security events.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor the SIEM dashboard to detect potential security incidents and anomalies
• Analyze incoming alerts to prioritize response efforts and conduct investigations to understand the scope of alerts
• Create and manage tickets in the case management system, documenting all investigative steps and findings

Required Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship with eligibility for a Secret clearance
• 0-2 years of experience in a Security Operations Center or related IT fields
• CompTIA Security+ certification required within the first 2 months of hire
• Familiarity with log analysis and various operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux)
• Basic understanding of networking concepts and common attack tactics
