Job Summary
Leading a talented team of artists, the full-time remote Environment Art Lead will guide the creation of immersive game environments from preproduction to production, ensuring that art decisions enhance gameplay clarity and player engagement.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead environment art and coordinate work with a multidisciplinary team focused on worldbuilding
- Mentor and inspire artists through all phases of production while fostering a culture of growth and feedback
- Create scalable art workflows and processes that uphold a high quality bar for the team's output
Required qualifications:
- Deep understanding of environment art decisions relevant to competitive action or fighting games
- Proven experience in leadership roles within early AAA game development
- Experience leading diverse art teams, including environment, palette, skybox, and lighting art
- Expert knowledge in software such as Maya, Blender or Max, Substance, and Unreal Engine
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with a proactive mindset
