Environmental and Social Consultant

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Environmental & Social Impact Assessment Specialist - Latin America Consultant.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental and social assessments and monitoring for development finance projects in Latin America
• Coordinate with E&S Divisions to ensure compliance with environmental and social performance standards
• Perform site visits for due diligence and prepare reports on findings related to environmental and social compliance

Required Qualifications

• Technical expertise in environmental science, geology, sociology, anthropology, or related disciplines
• Minimum of five years of experience in conducting or reviewing environmental and social impact assessments (ESIAs)
• Experience applying the IFC Performance Standards
• Fluency in Spanish and English, with at least five years of experience working with Development Finance Institutions (DFIs) in Latin America
• Knowledge of international and U.S. Government policies, laws, and standards related to environmental and social impact assessment
