Job Summary
Leading air permitting and environmental compliance for edge and large-scale data center projects, the full-time Environmental Engineer will manage regulatory permitting processes, ensure compliance with environmental regulations, and oversee third-party consultants while working in a virtual environment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage air permitting processes for data center facilities, including permits for backup generators and related emission sources
- Prepare and submit permit applications to state and federal agencies, tracking them through approval
- Ensure ongoing compliance with air, water, and waste regulations throughout the project lifecycle
Required qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering or related field
- 10+ years of environmental compliance experience, ideally in energy, oil & gas, or infrastructure
- Demonstrated air permitting expertise, with familiarity in Title V, minor source, and PSD/NSR
- Working knowledge of state and federal waste, water, and air regulations
- Field experience supporting operations and compliance
