Environmental Engineer

Job Summary

Leading air permitting and environmental compliance for edge and large-scale data center projects, the full-time Environmental Engineer will manage regulatory permitting processes, ensure compliance with environmental regulations, and oversee third-party consultants while working in a virtual environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage air permitting processes for data center facilities, including permits for backup generators and related emission sources
• Prepare and submit permit applications to state and federal agencies, tracking them through approval
• Ensure ongoing compliance with air, water, and waste regulations throughout the project lifecycle

Required qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering or related field
• 10+ years of environmental compliance experience, ideally in energy, oil & gas, or infrastructure
• Demonstrated air permitting expertise, with familiarity in Title V, minor source, and PSD/NSR
• Working knowledge of state and federal waste, water, and air regulations
• Field experience supporting operations and compliance
