Job Summary
Overseeing environmental strategy and permitting execution, the full-time Environmental Manager will manage environmental risk across a portfolio of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead environmental planning and permitting strategy to support project schedules and growth targets
- Manage environmental workstreams and oversee Environmental Specialists and consultants
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and advise senior leadership on environmental risks and compliance
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, biology, ecology, or related field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in environmental permitting or renewable energy development
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn company-specific software
- Experience leading environmental permitting efforts and directing consultants
- Strong communication skills for conveying environmental strategies and risks to stakeholders
