Environmental Services Director

Job Summary

Providing system-wide leadership and strategic oversight, the full-time Environmental Services Director will develop and implement environmental and linen service programs across multiple facilities, ensuring compliance with regulations and performance metrics while managing budgets and contracted service partners.

Key responsibilities:

• Develops and implements environmental programs that meet key metrics and service level agreements
• Ensures compliance with national, state, local, and Joint Commission requirements
• Oversees the management and evaluation of the annual operating budget for assigned services

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• Eight years of experience in an environmental services leadership position within a healthcare system
• Five years in a managerial or supervisory capacity
• Experience in regulatory compliance and contract negotiation
• Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional (CHESP) or must obtain within the first year of employment; Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or must obtain within the first year of employment
