Environmental Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Environmental Specialist to assist in telecommunications construction permit applications and ensure environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify potential environmental concerns related to fiber optic construction projects
• Drive projects through environmental review processes, including NEPA compliance
• Coordinate with agencies to determine environmental requirements and provide necessary documentation

Required Qualifications

• Working knowledge of federal and state environmental laws (e.g., NEPA, NHPA, CWA, ESA)
• Experience with federal agencies such as USACE, FERC, BLM, USFS, and USFWS
• Ability to manage multiple smaller projects in diverse settings
• Capability to resolve conflicts in a professional manner
• Bachelor's degree with a biology or archaeology-related emphasis is preferred
