EPC and Engineering Lead

Job Summary

Seeking a hands-on Head of EPC & Engineering, the full-time role will manage technical diligence, EPC strategy, engineering oversight, and procurement while working closely with external engineering resources to drive project execution and risk management in a growing energy storage platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Review opportunities and run technical diligence to support investment decisions and identify risks before acquisition
• Oversee engineering efforts and evaluate project design decisions affecting economics, development risk, and monetization strategy
• Prioritize EPC contracting, owner's engineer oversight, and vendor selection while supporting procurement for specific projects

Required Qualifications

• 10 - 15+ years of experience in engineering, EPC, or technical development within the energy storage or renewable energy industry
• Direct experience with utility-scale BESS projects, including technical design oversight and EPC contract negotiation
• Proven ability to manage external engineering resources and evaluate counterparty risk
• Experience supporting procurement strategy for long-lead equipment across various markets
• High-ownership operating style with the ability to communicate technical risks to stakeholders effectively
