Epic Applications Analyst

Job Summary

To support the revenue cycle operations, the remote contract Epic Applications Analyst II will manage the build, configuration, and maintenance of Epic Electronic Health Record modules focused on patient financial components, including billing workflows and vendor integrations.

Key responsibilities

• Build, test, and maintain Epic Hospital Billing workflows for patient liability and payment plans
• Configure and optimize Epic's Patient Estimate functionality for accurate pre-service out-of-pocket expense calculations
• Design and support financial workflows to capture patient co-pays and deductibles at various service points

Required qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare IT, Information Systems, Business Administration, or Healthcare Administration (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum 2-4 years of experience with Epic Electronic Health Record applications and hospital billing workflows
• Epic Resolute Hospital Billing (HB) certification required; additional certifications preferred
• In-depth knowledge of hospital revenue cycle operations and patient financial touchpoints
