Epic Applications Manager

Job Summary

Managing the IT Clinical Applications department, the full-time Epic Applications Manager will oversee hospital billing and health information management systems, ensuring adherence to budgets and project deadlines while providing technical guidance and evaluating staff performance in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepares and implements plans for application selection, systems development, and maintenance
• Analyzes and coordinates the procurement of new software and hardware systems
• Directs staff in modifying existing systems and developing project specifications

Required qualifications

• BS or BA degree in computer science, business, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of two years' experience supervising application systems analysis and programming staff
• At least five years of directly applicable experience in an IT department
• Strong knowledge of the systems development life cycle and project management skills
• Ability to work in a matrix management environment and lead diverse teams
