Epic Beaker Implementation Lead
Job Summary
Driving the assessment, design, build, and deployment of Epic Beaker, the remote contract Epic Beaker Implementation Lead will harmonize lab compendiums, convert legacy systems, and translate clinical workflows into technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze lab compendiums and resolve discrepancies across legacy LIS systems to establish a standardized Epic Beaker build
- Interview clinical end-users to assess needs and translate complex workflows into functional specifications and documentation
- Manage and execute testing phases, including Model Recommendation Testing (MRT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Required Qualifications:
- Master's or advanced clinical degree plus 2 years of experience in software requirements; OR Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of experience in clinical systems analysis
- Active Epic certifications in Beaker CP, Beaker AP, and Inpatient Orders
- Hands-on experience migrating legacy LIS platforms to Epic Beaker
- Strong proficiency in lab ordering/resulting workflows and HL7 interface communications
- Prior clinical or laboratory background with experience in at least 2 full life-cycle Epic implementations
