Epic Clinical Informatics Specialist

Job Summary

Supporting clinical users in outpatient settings, the full-time Ambulatory Clinical Informaticist will provide in-depth EHR support, assist with technology adoption, and collaborate with clinical and IT teams to enhance user experiences and optimize workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert for the EHR, troubleshooting issues and providing ongoing support to clinicians
• Participate in change management efforts related to technology adoption and provide end-user support for effective technology use
• Collaborate with clinical teams to analyze workflows, identify areas for improvement, and assist in the implementation of new clinical applications

Required qualifications

• Epic Clinical Informatics Certification or ability to obtain within 18 months of hire
• Associate degree or equivalent in IT or a health-related field
• 2 years of clinical, clinical informatics, or IT experience
• Strong analytical skills to identify areas for improvement in clinical workflows
• Ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical users
