Job Summary
To support the operational and technical needs of a healthcare organization utilizing the Epic platform, the contracted Epic Business Systems Analyst - Patient Access will work remotely for 6+ months, ensuring that business interests are represented in the Information Systems Department while collaborating with stakeholders to optimize Epic applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a liaison between operational stakeholders and the Information Systems Department to ensure business needs are effectively represented
- Analyze business processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement and support ongoing operations of assigned Epic applications
- Participate in requirements gathering, workflow analysis, testing, and implementation activities to develop effective technology solutions
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and five years of IT work experience; OR three years of business analysis experience within a hospital or healthcare organization; OR high school diploma/GED and nine years of IT work experience
- Epic certification in at least one Patient Access application: Prelude, Cadence, Grand Central, or Referrals
- Experience working with healthcare information systems and business/operational stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate operational requirements into effective technology solutions
- Experience with testing activities, including test planning and execution
