Epic Revenue Cycle Consultant

Job Summary

Serving as a strategic advisor and operational leader, the remote IT Revenue Cycle Director (Consultant) will assess hospital revenue cycle performance, identify improvement opportunities, and drive financial outcomes while potentially conducting onsite visits.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of end-to-end revenue cycle operations, including Patient Access, HIM/Coding, Billing, AR Management, and Denials
• Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and root causes impacting financial performance, developing actionable recommendations aligned with organizational goals
• Leverage expertise in Epic revenue cycle workflows to optimize processes and enhance the overall patient financial experience

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive hospital revenue cycle leadership or consulting experience
• Strong expertise with Epic revenue cycle modules (HB, PB, HIM, Cadence)
• Proven success leading revenue cycle improvement initiatives in acute care settings
• Deep understanding of professional & hospital billing, reimbursement, and payer requirements
• Executive presence and ability to drive change
