Job Summary
Leading quantitative analysis and modeling of real-world health data, the full-time Epidemiologist Data Scientist will generate actionable insights for federal public health, design machine learning models, and collaborate with public health experts in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct quantitative analysis and modeling of health data to estimate chronic disease prevalence and incidence
- Design and implement machine learning and statistical models for surveillance and research purposes
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and dashboards for large-scale health datasets using R, Python, and SQL
Required qualifications
- Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Data Science, Epidemiology, Public Health, Biostatistics, or a related field
- Material experience in health data science and epidemiology, particularly with real-world data analysis
- Strong proficiency in R, Python, and SQL, including manipulation of large datasets
- Deep experience in biostatistics and conducting epidemiological analyses
- Demonstrated experience with statistical modeling, machine learning, and data visualization
