Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Epidemiologist - GA Licensed specializing in occupational fatality surveillance, who will support a federal public health program focused on improving worker safety and health, while working in a hybrid remote environment in Atlanta, GA.
Key Responsibilities
- Support surveillance of occupational injuries, illnesses, and fatalities, particularly in the oil and gas extraction industry
- Conduct epidemiologic analyses, interpret findings, and prepare technical documentation and scientific products
- Collaborate with federal scientists and external stakeholders to enhance surveillance methodologies and data modernization efforts
Required Qualifications
- Master of Public Health (MPH) degree with a concentration in Epidemiology
- At least two years of specialized experience in workplace fatality surveillance in oil and gas extraction or related industries
- Demonstrated experience with occupational fatality or worker safety and health surveillance data
- Proven ability to conduct epidemiologic research and data analysis independently
- Experience preparing reports and presentations based on data findings
