Job Summary
To support a surveillance system modernization initiative, the full-time Epidemiology Surveillance Specialist will ensure that system functionalities align with real-world public health practices and validate features against the workflows of epidemiologists and disease investigators in a remote capacity.
Key responsibilities
- Align system functionality and workflows with real-world case surveillance and investigation processes
- Advise on the integration of core surveillance data streams and support iterative solution development
- Participate in leadership forums to represent public health perspectives in program decisions
Required qualifications
- Advanced degree in epidemiology or public health (MPH, DrPH, or PhD)
- Applied surveillance experience at a state, local, or federal public health agency
- Working knowledge of nationally notifiable disease reporting and case investigation workflows
