EPL/Professional Liability Claim Counsel

Job Summary

Managing high-severity, complex insurance claims, the full-time salaried EPL/Professional Liability Claim Counsel will focus on coverage analysis, policy interpretation, and strategic claim resolution while working fully remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and interpret EPL, Professional Liability, BOP, and GL policies, analyzing coverage issues and drafting coverage position letters
• Oversee complex claims investigations and develop strategic approaches for claim resolution, including litigation oversight
• Negotiate settlements and ensure compliance with Department of Insurance regulations while maintaining thorough documentation

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) with active bar membership or 7-10+ years of senior-level experience in handling complex liability claims
• Active adjuster licenses and willingness to obtain additional licenses as needed
• Demonstrated expertise in insurance coverage analysis and policy interpretation
• Experience managing high-frequency EPL programs and familiarity with panel counsel management
• Proficiency with claims management systems and related tools
