Job Summary
As a full-time Claims Technical Specialist focusing on equine-related policies, the successful candidate will ensure compliance with claim handling guidelines, analyze claims for accurate evaluations, and maintain system data while providing exceptional customer service, with the option to work remotely or from Lexington, KY, or Ocala, FL.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with established claim handling guidelines regarding coverage, investigation, evaluation, and resolution of claims
- Gather and analyze information necessary for accurate claim evaluations and deliver effective resolutions
- Maintain accurate system data and documentation while addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in equine, livestock, or farm insurance claims
- Valid adjuster license and successful completion of insurance courses or industry designations
- Detailed understanding of good faith claims handling and state-specific claim handling guidelines
- College degree preferred, with equine industry knowledge being an advantage
- Proficient in MS Office and experience with electronic claim systems
