Equity Review Consultant

Job Summary

To enhance equity in application reviews, the remote contract Equity Review Consultant will design and deliver tailored implicit bias training for application reviewers and panelists, while also reviewing and improving evaluation rubrics to ensure fair and consistent funding decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver training sessions focused on recognizing and mitigating implicit bias in grant review processes
• Review and strengthen evaluation rubrics to align with equitable assessment practices
• Build AAUW staff capacity to create and update evaluation rubrics using equity-centered frameworks

Required qualifications

• 7-10 years of demonstrated expertise in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and implicit bias
• Experience designing and delivering virtual training for professional audiences
• Familiarity with grant review or academic funding processes preferred
• Strong facilitation skills to engage diverse participants in interactive learning
• Ability to create accessible materials suitable for a wide range of participants
