ESA Consultation Support Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an ESA Section 7 Consultation Support specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Federal staff in conducting analyses and research for ESA section 7 consultations
• Provide technical assistance to Federal action agencies during ESA section 7 consultations
• Analyze scientific literature and agency documents to assess impacts on protected species and develop mitigation strategies

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field and one year of relevant experience
• Experience in environmental regulations, biological sciences, ecological risk assessment, or environmental impact analysis
• Preferred experience in infrastructure, fisheries, offshore wind, acoustics, water quality, or coastal modeling
• Ability to work effectively both individually and collaboratively in a team setting
• Ability to receive constructive feedback and implement appropriate action
