Job Summary
Supporting the National Marine Fisheries Service, the full-time ESA Section 7 Senior Analyst will conduct analyses and research for ESA section 7 consultations, review agency documents, and assess impacts on protected species while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct analyses and research to facilitate ESA section 7 consultations
- Review action agency documents and provide technical assistance to Federal action agencies
- Analyze scientific literature and develop mitigation strategies to support agency findings under the ESA
Required qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field and 3 years of relevant experience
- Documented experience in environmental regulations, ecological risk assessment, or scientific project management
- Preferred experience in Gulf of Mexico and South Atlantic fisheries and ecosystems
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Able to work effectively both individually and collaboratively in a team setting
