ESA Section 7 Consultant

Job Summary

A company is looking for an ESA Section 7 Consultation Support Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to federal agencies regarding ESA Section 7 consultation requirements
• Manage consultation requests and ensure timely communication with action agencies
• Conduct informal and formal ESA Section 7 consultations, preparing necessary documentation and assessments

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science or a related discipline
• Experience with Section 7 consultations under the ESA or similar environmental laws
• Knowledge of ESA-listed species and their habitats
• Familiarity with NMFS Acoustic Criteria and coastal/marine ecology of Alaska
• Proficient in databases and office productivity software
