Estimator

Job Summary

To support construction projects, the full-time remote Estimator will prepare material estimations for home construction, assist sales teams with customer orders, and train sales representatives in estimating techniques.

Key responsibilities

• Estimate the amount of materials needed for home construction according to company policy and local building codes
• Assist sales staff with customer orders, materials lists, and blueprint reading
• Review actual vs. estimated materials upon project completion and control expenditures to meet budgetary requirements

Required qualifications

• Associate's Degree in engineering or a related area
• 1-3 years of experience in construction and building materials
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret building plans
• Proficiency in operating networked computer systems and specialized software applications
• Understanding of measurements and basic math principles
