Estimator - Heavy Civil
Job Summary
A company is looking for an Estimator specializing in Heavy Civil/Transportation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project plans and develop detailed cost estimates for heavy civil and transportation infrastructure projects
- Accurately quantify labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor scopes of work using HCSS HeavyBid software
- Prepare and organize bids for DOT and large-scale highway or bridge projects
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3-7 years of experience in estimating heavy civil construction projects
- Proficiency with HCSS HeavyBid software
- Working knowledge of DOT specifications and federal/state transportation bid requirements
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
