Job Summary
To support the growing Energy Practice's Engineering Service Initiatives, the full-time Estimator IV will develop proficiency in estimating systems, prepare project estimates, and analyze key project issues while working remotely or from various Energy office locations across the United States.
Key responsibilities
- Prepares and coordinates full project estimates, providing conceptual and final estimating input
- Conducts independent evaluations and modifications of standard estimating techniques and prepares detailed material take-offs
- Develops cash flow schedules, wage rate build-ups, and prepares subcontract bid analysis for scope and cost
Required qualifications
- BA/BS in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related degree with 6 years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience with estimating software programs such as WINEstimator, Timberline, or Heavy Bid
- Knowledge of Civil, Structural, and Architectural disciplines
- Understanding of Earned Value Management (EVMS) theory and application
- Ability to read and interpret discipline drawings for takeoffs and quantity checks
