EU Budget Advocacy Consultant

Job Summary

A company is looking for an EU Budget Advocacy Consultant in Spain.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a national engagement plan for advocacy related to the EU Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF)
• Lead advocacy trips and ensure timely sharing of intelligence and updates to inform MFF strategy
• Build and maintain relationships with key national stakeholders and coordinate with local civil society actors

Required Qualifications

• Established working relationships with government officials, parliamentary actors, and civil society stakeholders
• Knowledge of development policy and the EU's long-term budget negotiations
• Experience in political monitoring and strategic analysis
• Ability to draft advocacy letters and support joint advocacy initiatives
• Fluency in local language and English
