EU Licensed Legal Counsel

Job Summary

To support clinical research and development activities, the full-time EU Licensed Legal Counsel will advise on legal and regulatory frameworks, provide legal support for clinical trials, and ensure compliance with GxP requirements, working remotely or from the office in Gent, Belgium.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on legal and regulatory frameworks applicable to clinical research, including EU Clinical Trials Regulation and ICH GCP
• Provide legal support for clinical operations teams during the setup, conduct, and closeout of clinical trials
• Draft, review, and negotiate various life sciences contracts, including clinical trial agreements and vendor contracts

Required qualifications

• Fully qualified and admitted to practice in an EU jurisdiction
• Experience in life sciences or healthcare within a pharmaceutical/biotech company, CRO, or leading law firm
• In-depth knowledge of life sciences regulatory frameworks, including clinical trials and GxP requirements
• Demonstrated experience supporting clinical operations and pharmacovigilance teams
• Fluent in English with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
