Job Summary
Supporting the VA's Office of Suicide Prevention, the full-time Evaluation Specialist Jr. will design and implement evaluation systems to measure the effectiveness of elevated risk care management programs for Veterans, utilizing mixed-methods approaches such as surveys and focus groups to drive data-informed decision-making.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive evaluation systems to assess program effectiveness and outcomes
- Conduct quantitative tracking and qualitative assessments to gather performance data
- Oversee the generation and dissemination of performance reports to VA program leadership and federal stakeholders
Required qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in designing and implementing program evaluation systems
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Psychology, Social Sciences, Health Policy, Research Methods, or a related field
- Prior experience supporting federal agency programs, preferably within VA or other federal healthcare contexts
- Ability to obtain and maintain a VA Personal Identity Verification (PIV) credential
- Demonstrated proficiency in developing data collection instruments and producing written evaluation reports for federal stakeholders
