Job Summary

Providing thematic leadership for a six-month remote consultancy, the Evaluation Thematic Lead on Violence against Children will manage the evaluation of child protection systems, focusing on violence prevention and response, while ensuring the integration of insights and analytical depth across evaluation workstreams.

Key responsibilities
  • Review and refine the evaluation framework, including evaluation questions and data collection protocols
  • Ensure thematic quality of country reports and lead substantive analysis for the evaluation
  • Support the validation of findings and finalize thematic inputs to the evaluation report and communication products
Required qualifications
  • Advanced university degree (Master's) in Child Protection, Social Work, Law, Public Health, Gender Studies, or related fields
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in violence against children programming or research, and child protection programmes
  • Experience in multi-country programme evaluation or evidence synthesis in international development
  • Fluency in English; working knowledge of French or Spanish is an asset
  • Familiarity with UNICEF's Child Protection Strategy and global VAC strategic frameworks
