Job Summary

To support curriculum development, the remote contract Excel 365 Accounting Subject Matter Expert will design hands-on activities and assessments aligned with the Microsoft Office Specialist: Excel for Accounting Associate certification, utilizing real-world accounting scenarios.

Key responsibilities

• Design objective-aligned activities and create complete activity packages for accounting tasks
• Support key accounting skill areas through the manuscript, ensuring activities reflect realistic workflows
• Incorporate job-ready skills by developing tasks that mirror entry-level accounting professionals' use of Excel

Required qualifications

• Expert level proficiency with Microsoft Excel 365 for accounting, including data importing, cleaning, and transformation
• Real-world accounting experience in roles such as staff accountant or bookkeeping, using Excel as a primary tool
• Experience in teaching or developing curriculum for accounting or business courses
• Excellent written communication skills for creating clear, student-friendly instructions
• High attention to detail and accuracy in formulas and spreadsheet presentation
