Excess Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Underwriter II (Excess).

Key Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate Excess insurance applications to determine coverage acceptance based on underwriting guidelines
• Approve or decline applications within authority limits and document underwriting files with risk analysis and pricing justification
• Collaborate with the underwriting team and utilize databases to ensure accurate policy pricing and compliance with regulations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum 3 years of underwriting or related insurance experience required
• CPCU, CIC, CRIS, or Property & Casualty Brokers License is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn industry-specific software quickly
• Strong desire to learn and adapt to changing priorities
