Executive Commercial Lines Underwriter

Job Summary

Managing a high-volume agency assignment, the full-time salaried Executive Commercial Lines Underwriter will evaluate and underwrite complex commercial lines insurance policies, including General Liability, Worker's Compensation, and Property, while working in a hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate new submissions and renewal accounts to determine risk acceptability
• Communicate underwriting standards and coverage advantages to agents and internal partners
• Proactively manage agency action plans to improve the book of business and profitability

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Commercial Lines Middle Market Underwriting preferred
• Strong knowledge of General Liability, Worker's Compensation, Property, and Commercial Auto lines
• Proven track record in successful underwriting and portfolio management
• Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
