Job Summary
Leading the Fire Family Foundation, the full-time Executive Director will provide strategic direction and operational oversight focused on supporting firefighter families' mental health and well-being, while engaging stakeholders and driving fundraising efforts in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance the emotional resilience of firefighter families
- Oversee program development and delivery aimed at improving the mental health of firefighter families
- Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies to ensure the foundation's financial sustainability
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Nonprofit Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a nonprofit, mental health, or first responder support organization
- Deep understanding of the psychological challenges faced by firefighter families
- Proven experience in fundraising with a successful track record in securing grants and sponsorships
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others
