Executive Director, AI Infrastructure

Job Summary

Leading the establishment and operation of a cutting-edge AI compute platform, the full-time Executive Director, AI Infrastructure will manage infrastructure strategy, oversee engineering teams, and ensure high availability and performance of AI workloads in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the long-range vision and strategy for AI infrastructure and platform engineering
• Build and sustain a high-performing 24/7 operations model with a focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement
• Lead the operational transition to permanent CVS-owned operations while ensuring minimal disruption to platform availability

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering leadership experience, specifically in managing physical infrastructure at data center scale
• Hands-on experience with bare-metal Kubernetes or OpenShift
• Fluency with high-speed cluster fabrics such as RoCE v2 and InfiniBand
• 5+ years leading multiple technical teams, including 24/7 operations organizations
• Proven success in establishing operational baselines and observability-driven continuous improvement
