Executive Director, Clinical Development (MD)

Job Summary

Providing strategic and scientific leadership across Gilead's HIV treatment and cure portfolio, the full-time Executive Director, Clinical Development (MD) will manage clinical development strategy, oversee study design and execution, and lead cross-functional collaboration, with the option for remote work for highly qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead HIV clinical development strategy and execution across treatment and cure programs
• Oversee study design, execution, data interpretation, and benefit-risk assessment
• Provide scientific and regulatory leadership for key development deliverables and interactions

Required Qualifications

• Advanced degree (MD, DO, PharmD, or PhD) in a relevant scientific discipline with significant biopharmaceutical drug development experience
• Typically requires 8+ years of experience with an MD or equivalent, or 14+ years with an advanced scientific degree
• Extensive experience leading HIV or related biopharma clinical development programs
• Experience with study planning, protocol design, regulatory filings, and major scientific communications
• People management experience in the biopharmaceutical industry
