Executive Technical Director

Job Summary

Leading the engineering practice, the full-time remote Executive Technical Director will guide technical strategy, mentor senior technical leaders, and drive the evolution of an AI-first engineering organization while collaborating closely with creative and product teams.

Key responsibilities

• Set engineering standards, architecture direction, and delivery practices for the technical vision of Wizard Studio
• Serve as the senior technology partner for significant client relationships, building trusted partnerships with engineering and product leaders
• Champion AI adoption and develop team capabilities to enhance delivery and improve client outcomes

Required qualifications

• Significant experience leading engineering organizations within a digital agency, consultancy, or product development environment
• Deep expertise in modern software architecture, web technologies, and cloud platforms
• Experience mentoring senior engineers and building high-performing teams
• Strong AI fluency and experience applying AI to engineering workflows
• Experience partnering with executive stakeholders and communicating complex technical concepts effectively
