Experienced Systems Operations Manager

Job Summary

To ensure optimal system performance and operational continuity, the full-time remote Experienced Systems Operations Manager will oversee the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS), enforce governance protocols, and drive IT service management maturity while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own end-to-end system availability, performance monitoring, and operational continuity, leading root cause analysis for major incidents
• Guide infrastructure modernization initiatives and implement security best practices while coordinating with engineering teams
• Lead the design and continuous improvement of ITSM processes, managing incident and change management across all system tiers

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (Master's or PMP preferred)
• 10+ years in IT systems engineering, operations, or infrastructure leadership, preferably in Medicare MIS or healthcare platforms
• 5+ years in technical and service delivery leadership roles
• Deep expertise in ITIL4, ITSM, and technical project execution within complex, regulated environments
• Knowledge of HIPAA, SOC, and enterprise compliance frameworks
